The 1^st WAVO was held in Singapore from November 26 to 29 in 2006. YUE Gongxia, Deputy Secretary-General of China Appraisal Society, and relevant personnel participated in the conference.

Theme of the conference is “Role of Appraisal in Economic Globalization and its Impact”. Representatives from over 10 countries and regions took part in the conference and authors of 26 papers  shared their thoughts from aspects of appraisal practice introduction, professional ethnics, enterprise value appraisal, education and training and specialized appraisal, etc.
